BSOD Page_Fault_In_Nonpaged_Area

hi everyone,

i have a problem with a user's PC. this is a newly bought HP desktop. originally i concluded the RAM and motherboard were faulty due to alot of different BSOD errors. to which i got HP support to replace both the motherboard and RAM. that was 1 week ago.

so far after replacement, a PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA still occurs when the user is using Outlook but only for a particular email. can the experts here please take a look @ my dump files and offer some advice? i'm afraid the HP support will not entertain me any more if i ask to change the RAM/mobo again.

thanks in advance.

regards,
tillug

Sounds suspiciously like what happened with my toshiba satellite after upgrading the video drivers.. (i've got a strong distaste for nvidia now..)

But if you switched out both the mobo (which contains the integrated video) and the ram, that seems like a moot point..

Try playing with the display drivers, maybe download a brand new one from HP's site just to be sure.

TheGreatTK:
thanks for the suggestion. i will give that a try.

Tedster:
thanks for the link but i have already used windbg to look through the
dump files. from my limited knowledge, i can only understand that the error
occurs in Outlook.exe and ntkrpamp.exe. can any dump file expert here tell me more about my dumps?

thanks in advance.

I've seen a similar problem a few times lately, but no solution. I found this THREAD which has a similar stack to yours, and is always crashed by the same process, in this case a Mcafee file. After removing Mcafee, it turned out to be faulty RAM.

See if running Memtest shows anything. I've also listed your stack text below.

most likely culprit is bad or failing ram. Test with memtest 86+ booted from a floppy drive. Use for passes or more. Also use CCleaner (free) to repair your registry.
