Instead of looking for an EEPROM, try pulling the CMOS battery for a few minutes

IF you want to reset the administrator password for either a laptop or a desktop. Download a copy of ERD Commander from a torrent site or MIRC and boot into the cd and there is a setting there under Start-->Administrator Tools-->Lock Smith, Just follow the instruction and it will over Wright the existing one.

thanks for the tips

i am getting the gray screen and need a password to get it to load or to go in to the bios. taking the CMOS battery out will not do anything. I Would like to get a hold of rustam_ because he has a password generator that can get me the password. the computer will not boot from the cd, usb, or hdd

Thanks

Get into the setup screen and carefully look for a password option... Turn this option off!

How do you know that the fan works? Just because you can turn it by hand doesn't mean the fan is good. No I don't ICQ

after type in the master password on grey screen, press CTRL+Enter twice, it should clear all passwords.
