suggestions please..
hey, im looking to buy myself a new notebook...but im really confused bout the specs and the manufacturer etc etc...my budget is sumwhere around 1500 USD's...heres wat im really looking for...im quite a newbie...sooo...bare with me xD..basically i want the comp to listen to music(good sound quality is fairly necesery)..watch movies...and play a few games...
screen:15-17 motherboard:intel core 2 or amd turion..2.0 ghz (which is better?) RAM:2GB Hard Drive:150gb+(is there much of a diff between 7200 and 5400rpm?) Grafix card-sumthing that isnt too expensive but will still allow me to play the latest games...dusnt neceserily hav to hav the best detail...as long as theyre playable...with a good enuf clarity and detail..if u kno wat i mean..=P..p.s-ive always been partial to nvidia Misc.-built in blutooth n wireless..Windows vista..built in cam(not too necessery but is always good =P) waiting to hear from u guys..thnks |

$1500 will get you a decent computer, but don't expect to play high end games on laptops unless you buy a gaming system (very expensive). Read computer shopper, pc world, and tomshardware (all online) for reviews.
Ensure your laptop is maxed out on RAM and has a fast hard drive (7200 rpm or better) before buying. |

likewise...but you say that theyre pretty close to being equal..soo my question is...is the difference going to be very noticable??and also will the graphics card of the hp support games like UT and the like...?

Hi-end performance eats batteries at light speed, so compare the mAh ratings;
bigger is better. In general, the more cells in the battery the longer it will last. higher rpm disks perform better, but eat batteries too. |

Then again battery life doesnt really mean much if you have it plugged in all the time like i do
