Monitor won't let me adjust brightness contrast etc?

Its a SyncMaster 206bw and it won't let me change the brightness, contrast or colours... any ideas.

The only thing I've done is use a colour profile from here (because it was an A :()
 
If you are using DVI you have very little on monitor control. Try to make adjustments with the card's control panel.
 
I'm using a 8800GTX Ultra and thing is, it was letting change stuff before

EDIT: Fixed, another forum suggested resetting the monitor by going on onto the menu and holding the source button for 5 seconds
