Speakers or headphones?

Which do you like more...
Taking into consideration all the factors. Including privacy.
Which would you buy?
I'm not asking for guidance, just wanted to know what you guys think.
When playing games, which do you like?

Lets just think about basic sets of each.

Ill add a additional option for those who suck.
And one for those who cant decide (you don't suck) alot.

i prefer my speakers, mainly cause the kick **** in the sound department, but. i like my headphones when everyone in my house, if i were to use my speakers i would more than likely wake a few people up. i have good sounding comfortable headphones so its all good, but speakers have the upper hand i think

I've got some fair speakers (in the process of upgrading) and a nice 12" Klipsch sub for my home system, and as much as I love to turn it up and hear the sound all around me and feel it, I rarely get the oppertunity to do so. I live in a duplex and my neighbor is an old lady that rarely leaves the apt.

So a nice pair of headphones would be welcome.

/feel free to donate yours to me

Well, It Depends........

First, I don't normally turn on the sound to my computer. I listen to music and watch DVD on my home free standing equipment.
Volume for volume I think loudspeakers are more pleasant and much less tiring for general listening. Headphones (and 4 channel speaker systems) tend to be much more restrictive with respect to listener placement. This sounds silly and obvious about the phones but, the "you are there" thing does get oppressive. The digital delay in the rear channels of a multi-channel speaker systems does give the impression of a concert hall, but again, a little goes a long way.
The phones win for porn, for obvious reasons. Oooh, aahhh, like that!

both 4 me

I use both but mostly because everybody in my houes bitches about how loud the speakers are, but if theres no one to complain I'm all about feeling as well as hearing.

Head phones seem restrictive somtimes but if i am talking in a game they are a must i dont need everybody else to hear what we plan to attack next.
