Webcam not working

Hi Everyone. This is my first time posting here... I hope someone can help...

I have an Alais Esnap webcam. I also have Windows vista home premium.

Ok... I plugged in the webcam and it said to insert cd... done... Driver installed. ok... done... But when I try to turn on the webcam in yahoo messenger, all we get is a black window. It says all my drivers are up to date... but it won't work for any program... not even paint shop pro 7. Firewall let's programs thru that I allow... so that can't be it...

Question... What's up with that??? If anyone can help, I would sooooo appreciate it!

Thanks

System specs
Go to the cam site and see if your cam supports Vista..
If it does continue on.... part 2..if not then unplug your cam and get one that does support vista...

part 2
Remove the drivers.. unplug the cam
Reboot the PC
Install the drivers
plugin the cam

If it still doesn't work?
