6 consecutive C2 & 8E BSODs in one day...help with minidump analysis...please

The machine just recovered from some trojans and after several hours of ritual safe mode cleansing, I was landed with several BSODs. My limited knowledge says they were caused by possible driver malfunctions and the only solution is to uninstall each and reinstall.

However, there was nothing I recently installed which could have caused this and I feel it could end up being like looking for a needle in a haystack. I have included all the minidumps from today on a zipped file with this post.

It would be a huge help if anyone with more expertise would be able to shed a little more light on which specific driver, or anything else, could be causing this.

Many thanks.

Hello and welcome to Techspot.

I believe you have two problems here.

Vax347b.sys which belongs to Alcohol120% and vsdatant.sys which is part of Zonealarm. Both these programmes are known to cause problems on some systems.

I suggest you uninstall both programmes. Try using a different firewall programme as below and see if your problem goes away.

Kerio or Comodo free firewall programmes.

zonealarm should already be uninstalled...

i could have sworn i got rid of it after some earlier issues with zonealarm....but if remnants are still there despite using registry cleaners then it could be a stubborn one to get rid of.

uninstalled alcohol120% and so far, no BSODs have caused any grief.

thanks howard.
