Si3112 woes help
I've been having a problem for sometime with XP (I know! who hasn't) on a clean install all is well until I get to MS updates and the lot crashes.
it reloads and crashes after startup 30sec-2mins and quotes a problem with Si3112 Mobo is a Gigabyte K7-N400 pro2 Chip AMD 3000+ 1Gb of DDR Ram 2 160gb Seagate Barracuda HD Anyone got any idea what's going on? as the Si3112 is on the Gigabyte Mobo drivers disk which loads up OK? |

First, we find WXP very stable, with very few clients, "having a problem."
We do see a LOT of problems with the SATA drivers on some motherboards... mainly ASUS, but mostly with the SATA hard drive. Could it be the SATA drivers are bad? |
