Folder lock

Unfortunately I share the computer with my brother and he is entering and spying in my folders. I don't like that, I need my privacy so I am looking for a program to lock a folder with a password, so only I can access that folder. If someone knows such a program, please help me.

Thanks

Just burn the folder to a disc or a flash drive, then delete the one on the computer.

This is a FEATURE of running as a limited user rather than as the Admin.
No limitied rights account can pry into the contents of the system or another
LUA account -- no extra software required
  1. as ADMIN, add a New User account
  2. set that account as limited access
  3. log into the New User (which will create the directories)
Repeat 2-3 for an account for your snoopy brother.

(CAUTION: Quickbooks has a problem running from the above setup --
google LUA Quickbooks for insight on the issue).

Use the Admin account ONLY for system maintenance (MS UPDATES) and
run email/browsers from the New Account.

You can copy your existing files to the \Documents and Settings\New User\ location while logged in as Admin.

Now change the Admin password and the New User Password.

Well, you have been given answers all around the park,

so here is the answer to your question - HERE

There are a number of alternatives.

The thing you have to remember,is ......THE PASSWORD.

Keep off site record of your passwords.
