Hi all,

I have an HP Laptop. When i turn it on, the screen is very dull. I can just barely see it. To be honest with you. Just about an hour ago it was fine. Until I turned it off.
Now I turned it off, its very dull, almost like a black screen, if you concentrate hard enough you can see, the windows sign, n when clikc on start menu etc.
I pressed FN and the brightness adjustment. It makes no fifference, so its no that.

Not my luck is it?

The LCD backlight is not working. It either died from old age or something is not making contact. This is a common problem with LCDs/laptops.

You should take the computer to a repair shop.

If your a have-a-go-hero type,it is possible to replace the backlight,yourself.

Just make sure you get exactly the right replacement light,and take it slowly.

You best just google your exact HP model with "backlight".

Is the pink font meant to indicate "female gender"
