I've been meaning to create somewhat of a HTPC partly by buying the card mentioned above. But I'm still not sure whether that will give me 5.1. I have a reciever (Yamaha 540) with only the optical input currently free. Can I with just the right cable (what sort of cable?) input 5.1 to the reciever no matter what codec the audio is in (for example ACC 6ch)?
