coke yes. pepsi no. Pepsi is sickenly sweet. I hate it when you go to a restaurant, ask for a coke and the waiter brings a pepsi. This one ***** waiter once told me (and had the nerve to argue with me- a customer) that "It's the same thing." I gave him a "tip" - don't argue with customers, and always ask the customer before you change their order.

I like Diet Pepsi. Straight colas are too sweet for me.

Coke! Firstly, it just tastes better. Secondly, MacDonalds doesn't sell Pepsi!

@ red1776 That's because most of the members were not born until many years after the "New Coke" fiasco. That's how damn old common "Coke", became "Coke Classic"!

Even "Coke Classic" isn'i "real Coke". Back in the day, both colas were sweetened with "sucrose", or cane sugar. Now, there's a lot more "fructose" or fruit sugar in them. Both sugars have the same chemical formula, but taste a fair amount different.
Way back when, if I drank something like grape soda on a very hot day, it would give me stomach cramps, while Coke never did. With the modern formulation, you guessed it, Coke gives me cramps in that circumstance. I though I heard recently, ("out of the corner of my ear"), that Pepsi was offering a nostalgia, limited time formula, based in cane sugar.

I rather Pepsi for sentimental reasons I guess, as I have yet to notice any discernible difference between the two.

Here we diverge, I find Pepsi much sweeter, perhaps less carbonated, and without the "bite" of Coca-Cola. I wax nostalgic, and long have wanted to try the original Coke, you know, the version with actual cocaine in it. I think that was pre-1903.

Commercialized cocaine sounds like they were having a lot of fun back then.

"Secret Ingredients".......!

Not only that, but since coke (that kind) is an alkaloid plant derivitive, if it were around today they'd probably trumpet it as, "all natural"! Fun indeed!

was it really that long ago?

Holy Hanna!
my wife just said she thought the 'new Coke; fiasco was in the early 80's....that would make her about 5....and me about 19......I never thought about it that way.

I like both, but I like coke more often then pepsi, I used to love cherry pepsi and hate cherry coke.

Coke lovers pepsi lovers all of the above, try this

Get a fresh lemon, squeeze a slice into your ice cold coke, stir it a little with your straw and enjoy.
