Dragonking, again

I can access the bios ,and I have no password problems; what I need is to get rid of a screen that appears before post.Maybe I,m making no sense,please forgive me is that is the case.Thank you very much for your time.

The laptop is a dell latitude d510.I bought it to a friend.It has windows

you can have a look at the bios settings but I am pretty sure the disable post screen option was only available for dell desktop models.
well, look for "post screen" or something like that in the bios settings. thats your only chance...

Would shorting the eeprom eliminate the screen or any other screen?

nope, shorting will not remove anything but the password(s).
there are procedures to change the logo but thats way too complicated and requires alot of knowledge and some 'special' tools.
so leave the screen as it is because it does no harm!
