DX10 High Quality

Now as the game becomes more unplayable the performance improvements offered by the 1.1 patch become more noticeable. Running in DX10 mode using high quality settings at 1440x900 again saw the Radeon HD 2900XT gain a significant amount of performance going from 14.8fps to 22.2fps. Though the rest of the graphics cards used saw very small performance gains.

The 1680x1050 resolution results are very similar to those at 1440x900 with the Radeon HD 2900XT being the only graphics card to receive significant performance gains.

Now our last test finds us in DX10 mode using high quality visual settings at 1920x1200. Here the GeForce 8800 GTX gains just a single frame, the Radeon HD 2900XT scores a 6fps performance boost and the Radeon HD 3870 Crossfire setup goes from 13.1fps to 25.2fps! The GeForce 8800 GT SLI configuration gains 5fps and the single 8800 GT also gains 2fps.
