Benchmarks: Resident Evil 5, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat
The GeForce GTX 480 was able to match the GTX 295 and Radeon HD 5870 graphics cards when running Resident Evil 5 at 2560x1600. This made it around 4% slower than the Radeon HD 5770 Crossfire graphics cards and 18% slower than the Radeon HD 4870 X2.
Although we expected the GeForce GTX 480 to do quite well in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat, with just 59fps on average it was actually 13% slower than the Radeon HD 5870. This meant that the card was just 5% faster than the much cheaper Radeon HD 5850 and 14% faster than the old GeForce GTX 285.
