Benchmarks: Metro 2033, Splinter Cell Conviction

The GTX 580's new Tessellation performance is particularly evident in Metro 2033 as it was 21% faster than the dual-GPU Radeon HD 5970 and an incredible 89% quicker than the Radeon HD 5870. Not even the GTX 480 could escape the new card's wrath, with the GTX 580 performing 48% better.

While Metro 2033 strongly favored the GeForce GTX 580, we saw quite the opposite when testing with Splinter Cell Conviction. The GTX 580 was 27% slower than the Radeon HD 5970 while it beat the Radeon HD 5870 and GTX 480 by just 14% and 12%.
