Well the new 1.1 patch did little for our test system in DX9, already the same limited performance gains seem to be all you will get when running Crysis in DX10 mode as well. At 1440x900 using medium quality settings the SLI configuration scored an extra 2fps while Crossfire actually lost a little performance.
At 1680x1050 the patch performance remains identical to that of the original version.
Now at 1920x1200 where the Radeon HD 2900XT used to really struggle it would appear that the 1.1 patch has solved this performance issue increasing the average frame rate from just 18.5fps to 27.1fps which is a considerable gain. The GeForce 8800 GTX became just 1fps faster, while the SLI 8800 GT cards scored 3fps more. The Crossfire cards were no faster when using the new 1.1 patch.
