I am a technician who hasn't dealt with minidumps before, but it seems appropriate to so so now. I installed Windows Support Tools, but I keep getting the 80070002 error whenever I try to read my minidump. So I'm submitting the minidump in hopes that one of you will have more luck. Another post I saw led me to believe that the Symantec antivirus may be causing this, but I can't determine that for certain without reviewing the minidump.

The computer is a Dell Inspiron 6000 laptop.

Inside the 1 MiniDump:
BugCheck 1000007E, {c0000005, 0, b3b6ec60, b3b6e95c}
Probably caused by : HSFHWICH.sys

HSFHWICH.sys is the modem driver, try updating the drivers for it

A technician with Norton, wow times have changed !

No they haven't. I hate Norton! This is a customer's computer. It has Symantec Corporate, which I'm not crazy about either. The only thing I like at all from Symantec is Ghost, but not when it's used for automated backups.

I'll try to update the modem driver and let you know what happens.

Thanks.
