Ok.. will do in the morning when I get up. Thanx for helping me. usually people just post a little something that doesn't work and then I never hear from them again. lol. ok well im off to sleep, its 3:12am here

:( Sorry to hear that. Sometimes if someone is already attempting to help a person, others will keep away from the thread unless it's going down a path which they feel isn't correct. If the person who was initially helping has run out of ideas and stops posting, it's easy for your thread to get buried by countless others within a few hours, never to be seen again.

Good luck with getting it replaced, maybe someone will post during the time that you're asleep with an idea. If it turns out to be a faulty motherboard, be sure to post back and let us know :).

I wish I could sleep, 4:14AM here and I am just finishing up laundry :(.

Um... If you don't have a video card installed the computer wont boot and it will give the video card error.

You sure on that Gavin? I've never had an issue starting a PC without VPU installed. Granted, there was no display, but they'd still start etc.

reguardless it cant be the video card because ive tried 3 different video cards with the system and I get the same error. so anyways im gonna go rma it now.

VIVA!!!! woot ok so just for laughs I put my old old old Geforce4 (aka brick of dust) into the mobo and reset the bios and tried it and i got a beep (pause) beep and saw the "AI" screen come up. so now it looks like it really IS my video card and not the mobo. ive restarted it about 15 times to make sure it isnt a fluke, im going to go rma my video card now.

bleh! it stopped working. now it will pass the "AI" screen and tell me "CMOS Checksum Error: Defaults Loaded" "press 1 to continue" and after I press one I get "Detect Drives Done, No Any Drive"... any ideas?

I assume you've hooked up the harddrive again now that your previous problem seems to be solved?

Just a shot in the dark, but maybe try replacing your CMOS battery.

ok so its been working the last few days (actually im on it now =P) I found out that I cant just have an sata drive plugged in. I needed to have a drive plugged into the ide port as well. so now I have my seagate plugged into the ide and my WD Raptor plugged into the sata, and you know the weird thing is that the WD is running my OS lol. I did also replace the CMOS battery (although it had a full charge) aswell. well whatever I did worked and my video card has been put in the mail to go back to evga. thanks for your help with this zeno =)

No problem really, I just wish it was worked out without all of this mess.
