Hi I was googling for the same/similar problem that is described here:
I also have a 128 meg and 256 meg stick of PC133 SODIMM for my Dell Latitude C600 laptop. The 128 works no problem in both slots but the 256 meg will not work by itself in either, or with it in the first with the 128 in the second. The only way it will boot is with the 128 in the first and the 256 in the second
It then gets halfway thru the post and it spits out the following message
Memory write/read failure at 08002000 read (08000000,0A000000,08000200) expecting 00EF00EF
Decreasing available memory
The values in the brackets above after read are the different numbers it has given me after replacing and retrying the configuration
What can I do to get it working?
