3 Beeps When computer boots/No Video output

Hi,
My computer does not show any video and it beeps three times in a row upon booting the system. That has never happened before. I read in another forum that the problem is the video card but I'd like some more input before I go and spend money on a video card I might not need.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

What motherboard make and model do you have?

The make is Intel. The model I believe is D845GEBV2/D845PESV. Thank you RIK for the help. I found the problem and it was that the ram was not properly seated. I thank you both much for the input. I am also very glad I do not have to buy a new video card even though I probably should considering the fact that mine is over five years old. Ha ha.
