  1. ive been looking to upgrade my computer from an PNY 6200 128mb. ive been looking around an the 6800gt's are way out of my price range an was wondering if a 6600gt was any good. i want to get a new card that can handle the new elder scrolls 4 game at a medium setting. here are my current pc specs.

    2x 512mb Kingston 2700ddr ram
    k7vta3 Elitegroup mobo (AGP 4x)
    PNY 6200 128mb AGP 4x/8x
    AMD XP 3200+ 2.2ghz processer

thats all i really know. im trying to stay away form the ATI cards manly from bad
    experience in the past.

    thanks

    A 6600gt is a nice card, its significantly faster than a 6200(I own both a 6200 and 6600gt) I'd recommend the 6600gt, unless you can afford a 6800gs

Asus is one of the top manufacturers for computer components. They usually buy the best chips for their video cards. If you can afford it I also suggest getting a newer mobo. Good ones are $40-60 and will give you 8x AGP and dual channel RAM. Like this -http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813123250. That would give you a really good gaming machine.
