  1. hey guys

I'm new to HD, but I'm planning to purchase a 10,000 RPM 16MB Cache Serial ATA150 Hard Drive soon just made mainly for installing games. My old 7200 probably are set up for storing and installing programs.

I wonder what kind of performance boost will that gain on gaming with that 10,000 RPM HD?
    - FPS boost?
    - loading faster? (or more ram help with that? i only got 1 gig of ram on dual channel)
    - less crash?

    thx in advice

It will probably improve the loading times, but that's pretty much it.

not much. Your bottlenecks will be with your CPU.

It will be able to load data off the drive faster, but if you got another gig of RAM, you will get a better boost.
