Abc.go.com results in error 300 10

Use msconfig to boot with the minimum number of services/programs. Test. You may need to add flashplayer stuff to minimum set to test the link. If it works in clean boot then it's trial and error in finding what's interfering. If it fails in clean boot, it may continue to be a tough problem to solve..

Thanks for your efforts - - I have use msconfig many times, but not heard of the clean boot reference :)
As you might guess, the symptom remains even then. As this is unimportant to me and I was attempting to help someones else, I am abandoning this issue and will deliver the bad news tomorrow.

Again, thanks for the efforts and follow through, Jeff

jobeard, you might try having the person you're trying to help go here http://www.hulu.com/ . I went there, scrolled down a bit & saw the abc logo so I think it might work, I dunno. Good luck
Great find learninmypc

I had to comment out cdn.gigya.com in the host file too, but given your inputs, we have a solution - - thanks :)
