I have a question About RAMS

Is it ok to have a PC3200 512 RAM with a PC 2100 256 making it 768..

or should i just have a 512 installed

It is possible, and may work just fine, depending.

Keep in mind, however, that the PC3200 stick will have to slow down to the speed of the PC2100 stick. In practice, this means you'll have 768mb of PC2100 ram. Also, you cannot put this combination in dual channel, so if you have a dual-channel supporting board populate the same bank with them.

I have an msi- k8n nei platinum ms-7030

...basically the 512 will give me better performance than the 768? even though its pc2100

Are you currently at 200mhz fsb? (DDR400)

If so, stick only with the PC3200 stick, unless you are doing video or audio editing. In any other case, the faster ram outweighs the benefit of more, slower ram.

yea my current fsb is 200 Mhz !! didnt overclock it

hmm so i guess i should just stick to 512 than!!
