Acer S2W 3300U Scanner problem

Hello!
I wonder if someone could help me with the following problem:
I just recently switched computers and went from Windows Millennium to Windows XP. I had no problems reusing my printer and Smart Media Card Reader but I'm having a heck of a time recuperating my scanner!
I have unistalled and re-installed it several times using the original MiraCD 90.S0805.406 but I keep getting a ' Cannot find Scanner ' message.
All connections were checked carefully but to no avail!
Does anyone have any suggestions please, I would really appreciate it.

All the stuff I can find leads me to believe that that scanner is not compatible w/Windows XP . Maybe you can find some custom driver or something.

My ' savior driver 'quest starts today and with some luck I'll be able to retrieve my beloved (?) MiraScan!
