Adding an old hard drive

So, I recently scrapped my old pc and managed to get my hands on the old IDE hard drive. It's only 80gb but im planning to add it to my current PC which has a SATA and windows 7. Hooking up an IDE to SATA bridge is no problem but my question is weather it would cause problems due to it already having windoes xp installed on it?

It won't cause a problem as long as it's not set as the primary boot drive in BIOS. However, if it is set up as the primary boot drive in BIOS, your computer will boot into WinXP instead of Win7.
