The city pretty much forgets my street, so when we have a blizzard, we have to wait until late morning before even being able to move our cars for shoveling :D !

They plowed the street I live on 5 days after the snow/ice, and then it wasn't even the city, it was the people that own all these places around here that people rent.

Mid 50s and raining here now. Supposed to be winter time...

Low to mid-40's here. It snowed about 1/2 - 1 inch of snow here today. On Monday, the snow from Colorado is arriving here in Mass. as rain  (I want snow!).

So the weather is...wierd. As I've mentioned I live close to Buffalo, NY. We're known far and wide for our snow. But, with the exception of the occasional blizzard we really don't get it too bad. The problem is that when we get it we really get it. It's the whole lake effect thing. About 5 or 6 years ago we didn't get our first snowfall until 2 days before Christmas. Then, over the space of two days, we got 7 feet. So we kind of deserve the rep a lil bit I guess. But this year has been really wierd. In the middle of Oct we got a freak snowstorm. Got up to 2 feet of very wet and very heavy snow. Because of the leaves still being on the trees it gave the snow even more area to stick to and thusly more weight to sit on the branches. It pulled down trees, wires, blew transformers and was a helluva mess. Over 300,000 without power, green lightning at night watching the transformers pop and generators selling for 3 times what they normally do. So that was our nasty mess and now? We have nothing. That was the last time we had any measurable amount of snowfall and it has been 30's to mid 40's F here and not a lick of snow since. No white Christmas here. The skiers and snowmobilers are dying here. And we have no idea when any snow may fall. This is way out of the norm for around here. It'll be interesting to see how the rest of the winter goes.

Its been weird here too, 50s and sunny Saturday, Sunday, dark, windy COLD and a couple inches of snow!

I raise rabbits and the weather has really got them messed up this year...they aren't sure when to molt, breed...or anything!

sounds like you could have filmed a disaster movie on location and save money on the special effects! did anyone see the video of that transformer over in colorado that exploded on dec 26th?

That is a little to cold for me....

Yeah, Nashville is weird right now. 60 today and it was 30 last week..

Right now, it's 830, and at 51.... with tornado watches, lol.

Another update, now 9:57PM, and its 15. With a revised low tonight of 6. If it gets to 6, it would likely be just before sunrise. That would be a 60F drop in 18 hours or less.

8-10 inches of snow forcasted for tomorrow, which isn't 'unusual' for here, but we don't have many days that it actually snows.

I'm sure we won't get more than 3-4", weather forcasters here always far overpredict, I think thats so people will be prepared, and then feel relieved when we don't get much.
