AMD Athlon 64 Temp

I have just built my first computer, and I need to know the normal temp for an idle AMD Athlon 64 processor. I am using the in-the-box heat sync.

I did read the sticky.

Mine is the Athlon64 3700+ san diego.

Currently 22c idle, stock cooling.

Then again, it is about 10c in my house right now. No central heating in Japan. Grrrrr.

i also have the 3700+ san diego. mine idles at 37 and reaches 46 under load. stock cooling, but with arctic silver 5 thermal solution. my room temp is 27c. from what i have heard anything under 55 is good for 130 nm processors and 50 for 90 nm processors (mine is 90).

mine is amd 64 3000+ venice (stock fan)
mobo : Albatron K8NF4U

idle : 44 C
load : 46 C (playing Fable: Lost Chapter)
room temp:28-29C

i don't really know, could it be wrong (bad thermal sensor)?
i've done some information search about this, i found that normal temp for venice 3000+ is under 40C (idle and load)?
which one is correct?

any comment?thanks.

ambient +5 @ <25% humidity for idling.

ambient +15 for load.

90nm process requires lower thermal loading ... 85C is burnout. 65 is max for load.

A proper qualified TA case with stock cooling should work fine.

MY AMD 3200 64 since mods with case fans room temp 31 C idle 37 - 40 C under load (Civ IV) 53 - 57 C before my own design mods load was 60 - 69 C

My thermal grease is a **** Smith Unick not the best by far but the only one available at the time.

A good ventilated case helps, again mine was not till mods.

Mine is an Athlon 64 FX-57 4000+. It idles at 36C and at load its at a max of 49C.
I got a Thermaltake fan cooler on it. I use Arctic Silver for thermal paste.

I use the BOX fan... and my AMD64 3000+ normally is at 35-37ºC (just like human normal temperature)... and when its loaded its up tu 40ºC (Quake4)
