AMD Bulldozer: Chipset 9 Series Info

Some disingenious AMD marketing hype going on there.
”no compromise peripheral” for USB 3.0
seems to be implying native USB 3.0 support- note how quickly the fanboys jumped on the assumption in the comments section.
AMD's SB950 and SB920 southbridges will still use third party USB 3.0 controllers such as the Renesas chip presently in use, so "no compromise" means able to tap into the PCIe 2.0 lane bandwidth (i.e. the same as X58/P55/P67 etc...)
Also -since the article seemed a little short of specifics...
990FX is two PCIe 2.0 x16 slots (or four PCIe 2.0 x8), six PCIe 2.0 x1 slots, one PCIe 2.0 x4 slot
990X is one PCIe 2.0 x16 slots (or two PCIe 2.0 x8), six PCIe 2.0 x1 slots
970 is one PCIe 2.0 x16 slot

As are as I'm aware, Intel's Panther Point (Ivy Bridge CPU) chipset is still the only confirmed(?) native USB 3.0 capable I/O hub
