AMD has posted a new set of Catalyst graphics drivers on its 'Game' website today, bringing the monthly release up to version 10.6. The new driver supports all cards in the Radeon HD 2000, HD 3000, HD 4000 and HD 5000 series for desktops and laptops as well as Radeon HD 3000 and HD 4000 IGPs. In addition to the bunch of performance improvements, Catalyst 10.6 also brings a couple of new video filtering options, and OpenGL 4.0 support on 5000-series Radeons.

Does anyone know if they fix the issue where an overclocked card in desktop mode (2D) works at it's full speed (like if it was on 3D, causing it to get hotter than it should be) ?

Wow! AMD Catalyst team seems to be working late shifts considering their recent spate of quick driver releases

runs fine on mine...:p, I am very surprised that they didn't fix/improve Metro 2033 as well considering how poorly it performs, especially on the 5970.

I use MSI Afterburner to overclock, and I set two profiles. A 2D profile and a 3D one. That allows you to idle @ 157/300 in 2D mode(single monitor).
