Antec ships highly customizable open-air case, LanBoy Air

  1. Antec has released a new addition to its line of revolutionary cases: the highly customizable LanBoy Air. Shipping with five fans stock, and upgradable to fifteen, the case creates positive air pressure which forces hot air and dust out of the case through perforations in the side panels. This open-air flow design keeps the maximum amount of air circulation across components at all times, and considering the design allows you to fit in three sixteen-inch graphics cards, you just might need that cooling capacity someday.

This thing looks insane! Very cool, though I wish it came in black, and a lower price point.

    hahaha

Apparently, I'm not the only one who is reminded of the Lego erector sets. xD

In fact, this case may be used for my new build!

Trippy. Can't imagine it's too quiet with all the fans out in the open like that, though.

  15. where do you hide the cables in this thing!?

Well let me bring you back to time of the late 80's, early 90's. It could be named "miya the bee," or "carebear dare," or "david the drone,"

Either way I still think its a good idea.

If the air pressure is higher on the inside, that means it is sucking a lot of air in. So fans will be caked with dust. And how would airflow be better if air is just trying to get out..?

  18. put some filter in front the fan might slow down collecting dust. it's nice but i hope the price is friendly too. Lol....

"Trippy" haha ;) Not quite, I like the outlandish look of the bold lego case. So many are fancy in a basic way today the unique feel and look this case has appeals to me.

Personally, I'd fit the JCB case with watercooling.

over priced, There are better cases out there than this. Not my cup of tea

  22. So much for sound dampening. The sound of three video cards at full load basically out in the open would be horrid! Talk about a jetliner taking off.

This is a innovative case design, looks cool. It would have been nice if there was a compartment for cable manegement. It is definitly overpriced.

  25. You better not spill coffee, soda, beer or any other liquid substance on this thing.
