  1. Confirming its rumored special event on January 27, Apple has invited various media organizations to attend a 10AM gathering at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco. The invitations read, "Come see our latest creation," and lack any real information -- though, it probably alludes to the company's long-anticipated tablet device.

I'm honestly sick of the Apple Tablet, it's been months of speculation and media hype already with no actual product verification yet. By the time they make the announcement, it will probably be so anti-climactic that people will be shrugging and asking "we've been waiting all this time for THAT?"

I'd be more impressed if it was the OS 4.0 for the iPhone that they were announcing. That'd certainly be a kick in the groin to Microsoft. And Apple will make far more on the iPhone advances than they would on a tablet, anyhow.
