Are any gaming keyboards under $75 worth it?

My cheap old LiteOn keyboard is starting to wear out so I want to replace it with something a bit nicer. Unfortunately there aren't any shops near by that have anything to try out. I don't need to see the keys when I type so it doesn't have to be backlit. I'm not entirely sure about mechanical keyboards, are they very loud? Are any in this price range really nicer than equivalently priced dome switch keyboards?

Nope, but I would vote for a keyboard that has backlighting. I can type without seeing the keys too (pretty sure we all can), but it's still useful and aesthetically pleasing.

Lots of people swear by the old Logitech G15. Not sure if there is a new version in your price range but worth having a look. TechSpot's own PC building guide recommends the Logitech G110 for their enthusiast level rig - Lowest price $59.99.
