ATI Display Driver Fail and Recovery

Today my ATI Display Driver failed and recovered a total of four times. On the third time my Windows went to the blue screen, made a strange noise, and performed a physical dump.

During the ATI Display Driver failures, my computer screen will go completely black for a couple of seconds then recover..

I am scared that the driver will fail permanently.

Manufacturer: Hewlett Packard
Model: HP 2000 Notebook PC
Processor: AMD E-350 Processor 1.60 GHz
Installed memory (RAM): 3.00 GB (2.60 usable)
System type: 64-bit Operating System

What is the exact model number of the PC and what is your OS? I need the exact OS (Windows 7, Windows XP, etc.), now I know it is 64bit though. Also why is only 2.60 GB of RAM usable?
