Augen expands Gentouch tablet line with 6 new models

  1. Augen Electronics Corp has unveiled six new Android tablets to expand its Gentouch line. Retailing between $199 and $599, each model seems designed to fill a different role, but all are WiFi equipped and will have access to Augen's SlideME app store. Following last July's $149 Kmart-only Gentouch78, the first two models in the lineup are the budget-minded Latte and Latte Grande. $199 gets you a 7-inch 800x480 display, 2GB of built-in flash memory, SD card slot supporting up to 16 GB, and HDMI output.     ::Shrugs:: I'm not sure what I think of the models described. I'm glad more products are being put out though.

    But I still like what I have heard about the Adam form NotionInk. It has an eInk screen and color LCD display that will give excellent kindle like reading experience and also anormal table experience on Android. I must wait before making my decision.

    Will we get a tablet that we can modify with software. That is what I really want - Like one we can upgrade with software and not be locked into an OS and the manufactures market.
