begin2search on my computer!

By RustyRubberTube
Oct 9, 2004
  1. My computer was recently infected with adware.horoscope (My Daily Horoscope), which I followed instructions on the internet to get rid of. I believe I have successfully removed adware.horoscope from my computer. However, when I ran Hijackthis to confirm it was gone, I also noticed that begin2search was in the log. Which things in the log should I let Hijackthis eliminate?

When you are done, stop using Internet Explorer, only use it for Windows Updates.
Install Firefox instead and use that from now on.

Note that I did not use HijackThis to remove the O16 entry as this is a tool that integrates with IE that I installed from Sony's ImageStation website. Also, I installed Ad-Aware SE which helped me find a few more iffy things.

Thanks so much for your help! :grinthumb
