I'm using GetRight for some time and I think it is all I need from a download manager.

I use Firefox.... You can resume downloads with its built in download manager.

Only part of the time and only with certain files... do not count on it.

I'm using IDM it's the Best ... Tried over and over again to crack it But never worked I ended up registering online it's one of the toughest SW to crack ...

how do i get the getright software for free?...i would like to try it...and is getright can integrate with mozilla which in flashgot option?

I have used several of the ones metioned in this thread but the one I have settled on is IDM it has the easiest interface to use and the best speed I have found!! I used reget,Dap and some of the others and the best download speed I got with them is between 700 to 900 kbs and with IDM my average speed is 800 to 1.5 mbs using broad band As far as mass downloading it has been the easiest to use! It has handled up to 65 downloads at one time with out any trouble!! some of the other sites I go to, allot of users use flashget but I installed it on my pc to try it out and I ran three spyware programs to see if they have there own spyware in there program and two out of three found some in there program!!! Same with DAP. Of coarse I did this about three years ago. Things could of changed by now with them. I even wrote DAP and complaned to them about there spyware they had installed in there progam.

i use download manager plug-in for firefox. it works with a lot of sites. but it limits download to 1 at a time

When i try useing internet download manager and i am downloading 65 things. Like the first 40 files download and the rest show error for the last 15 what is the problem and than when i try to go back to the site i was download from it says connection reset.

Depends on your internet provider... Many internet services limit the time online, or the amount of material downloaded or uploaded in a given time. It is usually posted in the fine print of your provider. Those little short disconnects are there to teach you to upgrade to the more expensive version.

Yes, it could be a lot of things... but it is more likely intentional, then arbitrary... and are you spending all your time on the one website?
Most websites are designed to be low maintenance, and trouble free. If this problems goes on for long, they would want to fix it so their site doesn't crash.

My favorite DL manager is freshdownload at www.freshdevices.com It can intergrate into netscape or higher, mozilla, opera, and has a option to be with other browsers. It has password entering, Dl with more then one connection, all the good stuff. Give it a try!(Sorry to be like a salesman)

P.S. It's completly free for personal use, but you have to pay if you want to use it for your buissness or something.
Edit:You may want to change the default temperory folder since windows deletes the temp files in the default one.

I tried using FlashGet recently. Not bad for a free download manager.

its too much work to read all 9 pages just to decide a good download manager so i'll just post my suggestion.

it's not free but the only difference in free and piad is that in paid we get advanced options such as "shutdown computer after downloads complete" and "disconnect modem after downloads complete"
SO... its still good. the best i've used yet cauz its simple and is efficiently fast.

The free version of FlashGet comes bundled with adware and should be avoided. This does not happen with the paid for version.

How come? FlashGet is listed as freeware on their site! There's no paid-for version as far as I know.

Perhaps they have stopped doing the paid for version.

However, I stand by original statement that Flashget contains adware.
