BF2 Ctd

Hey all...i know i'm playing an old game but it is killing me why now it is suddenly doing the CTD thing. I have been running it on this pc since I built it last sept with no problems. I'm playing on a sony 46 lcd tv and have been since i got the tv back in 2007. Here are my pc stats:

I was playing it a few days ago and it did the ctd a few times. I updated my video driver and it still did the ctd. afer a few more reboots I started playing again and it ctd and then wouldn't boot back up. The screen would just go black like it was booting but never did. I used revo uninstall and once i was done with that i used reg mech to scan and do any repairs to my reg. I did a scan disk and defrag. ensured all drivers were updated. some days i can play 10 hours with no crashes other days i can't play more than 10 minutes.
 
You have Windows 7. See if changing the compatibility mode to Windows XP helps.
