  1. i got an old pc, with a 20gb ide drive (wd200eb). the drive has been binary wiped and now i want to install a new os. in the process of doing so, windows setup said it could not install on this drive. i then took a hard drive out of another computer and connected it with the wd200eb the pc was able to boot from it. then when i went into my computer, the wd200eb was not visible. i went into disk management, hoping to format it, but it was not there, but it is visible in device manager. what is the problem??

    Thanks

The boot sectors are probably corrupted. Try regularly formatting it as an external drive. Then reformat it and reinstall the OS as an internal drive.
