BSOD after start up - Windows XP

My computer starts up and then gives me the BSOD. The error says:
STOP: 0X0000008E (0XC0000005, 0X8580D097, 0XA7E72954, 0X00000000)

Sometimes, the 3rd and 4th sets of numbers slightly vary.
I have Windows XP. Any help with correcting this issue will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Rachel,
Does the computer make it all the way into Windows before the stop error happens? You may have to attempt an XP repair. Here are the instructions:
