I have just obtained my seconfdlaptop for christmas, which bsod's usually twice on a startup. I have a few minidumps, (most recent was caused by vtdisp.dll) and need to know from someone who's 'in the know' if it's my ram or likewise.
Laptop spec: Fujitsu siemens amilo l7320gw, intel celeron M 1.60GHz, 960mb of RAM [recently uninstalled AVG Anti-virus free edition 2011]

vtdisp.dll refers to a VIA S3 display driver. Windows update might direct you to a driver update. Or you can do a Google search for VIA S3 Driver

I've reinstalled a new VIA driver, and very shortly afterwards recieved another blue screen, asking me to perform a chkdsk; i ran it and no errors were found
I don't know where to go from here?

From where did you update this driver? Go to Fujotsu's websiter, find your exact model of your laptop and update the latest from their site.
