BSOD when gaming

okay its on now..trying it out gonna see if I crash at all...ill keep you posted today..thanks again for your help

well it hung up again multiple times...with the old PSU...so that didnt solve the problem..no blue screen just straight up frozen in the middle of doing whatever...what ya got next TMagic. haha

Okay, it's time to play with the memory voltages in the bios. DDR3 memory should be around 1.5 volts. Try raising it first, to 1.7 volts and run the computer. If you still get freezes, lower the voltage to 1.4 volts... Put the newer power supply back in. Are you overclocking?

well I tried changing the voltage before to 1.7..in the bios it said 1.7 but when I went into speccy to see the stats it showed that the ram was still running at 1.5 idk what thats about...I cant put the ram below 1.5 also...nope never overclocked before.

brand new..was just shipped to me by ASUS for a mobo I bought from them a while back..its brand new...

I just got my new Gigabyte GA-Z77-D3H motherboard working properly... The bios is really complex. Set your motherboard back to optimal defaults, and play with the timings, but make sure the motherboard setting match the memory rated timings

hmm okay..what do you recommend I do in order to get it working properly lol..any configuration methods you recommend?

something new...when I went into the bios and started to go around changing things..it actually froze...hard hanged WHILE in the bios....

negative no new minidumps to post...still have no idea what to do for this...here I am with this computer..and I cant do anythign I want with it..haha... also in the bios it gives me sio many optinos for the timing/driving config.. thigns like TCL,TRCD,TRP,TRAS,TRTP,TRC,TWR,TRRD... quite frankly I dont know anythign about these and really dont know what to change etc...also in the DRAM command rate should I keep it on auto or change it to 1T, or 2T...

Look up the memory timings on the memory you have installed, and make sure that the bios memory timings match. The DRAM command rate should be set on auto

in all honesty I really dont know what I should and shouldnt be changing on this bios setup...I also flashed the bios a few weeks ago..could that be the problem? I mean I got the most up to date files from asus itself and used their software to do it etc..idk if I can rollback? what should I be changing? idk.

Don't worry about the Bios Update. "discache.sys" is another problem in the minidumps. Are you running an SSD by chance? This error is usually cured by a clean format and Windows re installation

nope not running on an ssd...well its a brand new hard drive and a brand new reinstallation of windows..I have two hdds that do it..on my old one and a brand new one now...
