Hopefully, i have an OEM, its windows XP Pro SP3... and i don't think i need vista nor 64x.because i do install many programs that is not good with vista and 64x...
I am the green and intel fan, but i don't think it's very bad...
What is the AMD speed? is it better than Intel you reccomended?
Anyways, this is nice rig also :) waiting for answer.
edt: will the processor keep up with the card? don't want to waste the card...

There will be a small bottleneck, but you can easily OC the CPU to 3GHz and beyond, which will remove most, if not all, of the bottleneck.

As for Vista x64, you will need it if you ever upgrade your RAM beyond 4GB, since the version of XP you have is likely 32-bit, and will not recognize more than 3-3.5GB of RAM. 64-bit XP is just plain trash and does not have good driver support, among other problems.

And no, the E8400 is much faster than the X2 7750. But for gaming, a powerful GPU is much more important than a powerful CPU. Also, the AMD chip should be fast enough for anything other than gaming too.

also, black edition means the unlocked multiplier, right? :) you see, i could take the 64x, but i do work with programs that are only Xp and 32 bit, so i don't know how i could do without them. i mean for me it's not enought just Nero, windows programs and stuff. i like more things to have, that are not for 64x's. and older games(i do play stronghold, stacraft, sometimes Age of Empire 2) those just getting with Xp, so what to talk about Vista 64x? but-eh, it is possible if i want to lol :)

    EDIT:
Also, is there any Laptop with similar specifications? because i really need one.

you know you can make a duel boot machine right like xp 32bit/vista64bit on the same machine.

also the e8400 you were talking about can clock to 4ghz or higher on air cooling try that on an amd computer and you'll burn it up.

But i hope it's possible to do 3.5ghz or round on the amd chip. maybe it's possible to mix e8400 with the radeon? that would be awesome, if 4ghz plus radeon would be super gaming machine :)

i dont think the amd cpu will clock that high without very nice water cooling and no you cant use the intel cpu in a amd motherboard. but you can use intel cpus with radeon cards.
