Can hp bios (intel 865 chipset) be flashed NOT hp but to whatever someone recommends

have here a fairly new hp dc5000 small form. can the bios be flashed to get rid of the hp bios and put a different one on. the bios is so nuetered.

The answer is NO. Get another mobo if you don't like it's BIOS.

If the motherboard is not HP proprietary then you can get a generic BIOS from the mobo manufacturer.
