Can my MB run this processor or better?

  1. Hi everyone I'm new to these boards and I have limited knowledge about these days CPU's and MB's. I've been wondering if my MB could run a "Intel Core 2 Quad Processor Q9550" or better/higher CPU "bang for the buck" for my new Evga GTX 470 backplate that will be coming in soon. Here is the MB that I have.

    (Quad-Core FSB1333) Asus P5N-E nForce 650i SLI Chipset LGA775 FSB1333 DDR2 Mainboard

    If you guys need more info about my PC here are the specs.

    In a word, no. Don't take my work for it though. Go to the Asus website here and click on the CPU Support List tab to see what your motherboard supports.
