Can visiting a website cause other addresses to be put into IE History?

  1. I suddenly discovered a bunch of websites that I had never visited before on my computer in the history log of my internet explorer and MSN. Can visiting a particular website cause other website addresses to be put into the history log? Or, is there any other way that web addresses can appear in the history if they have never been visited??

When you get redirected, you can 'visit' a number of websites, before you finally see a new page on your screen. This is especially the case with less savoury websites.
You should also stop using that 'holey' IE and get Firefox instead!
