Can you overclock a Athlon Silver 3050u?

Lots of budget laptops don’t support overclocking of any kind so you need to state the exact brand and model you have.

A Athlon Silver 3050u is not a good processor for overclocking because it doesn't come with the proper cooling solution and you will face trouble with that.

Yes you can. I have a amd athlon silver 3050U and is work very good, you can install Ryzen controller to work. Ryzen controller still work is because Athlon 3050U is identify as "Picasso" series which is "Ryzen 3000". Depend on your laptop cooler, for the result I jump from 720p 50 fps to 1080p 60 fps due to overclock, besure to check if your computer cooler good or not or else overclock not gonna help you. I won't take responsible if your Laptop part become a toast because is overclock

Here the settings I use in my Old Ryzen controller sorry for late reply
CPU Tab
Temperature limit-105
CPU TDP-35W
Long Boost TDP-35W
Short Boost TDP-35W
GPU Tab
Minimum Vega iGPU Clock Frequency-1100 MHz
Minimum Infinity Fabric Frequency-Depend on your ram bus (For mine is gonna be 1600 MHz which is 3200 MHz dual channel)

I no longer Use Ryzen controller though I start moving to Universal X86 tunning untility and use extreme preset
