Can't Open CMD!!! When opened, gives an error and crashes.

  1. C:\WINDOWS\system32\CMD.com
    The NTVDM CPU has encoutnered an illeagal instruction.
    CS:0549 IP:ffe4 OP:fe ff 1d 09 c6 Chose 'Close' to terminate the application.

    This is what i get when trying to run CMD. Quite annoying. Please help i really need to open CMD.

    Seems to be a change

    There are two Dos commands in Windows.

    A fairly useless one is command.com
    the other (much better) is CMD.EXE not cmd.com

    I think a bit of mischeif has changed your menu properties
