Can't Open CMD!!! When opened, gives an error and crashes.

The NTVDM CPU has encoutnered an illeagal instruction.
CS:0549 IP:ffe4 OP:fe ff 1d 09 c6 Chose 'Close' to terminate the application.

This is what I get when trying to run CMD. Quite annoying. Please help I really need to open CMD.

A Google search of "CMD.com" suggests you may have a worm.

Seems to be a change

There are two Dos commands in Windows.

A fairly useless one is command.com
the other (much better) is CMD.EXE not cmd.com

I think a bit of mischeif has changed your menu properties
