    Just a comment on the 754 v 939 benchmarks.
I think that its quite impressive that the 939 3400+ is performing very close to the 754 dispite having half the cache - i would love to see the performance difference when a second stick of ram is added. I think AMD have made a good few optermisations on the 939 from the looks of the early benchmarks - the nf3 250 is looking quite impressive as well - it looks like nvidia could finally beat off via in the A64 chipset arena.

The wait is not long now - this month all will be uncovered when the 939 chips come out.

Apparantly they've been having a bit of a problem with fanATIcs these last months...

Too bad, as it used to be an ok place to go for ATI info.

Arris, you could allways visit another board CM posts on and ask him there (though he might not be too happy about it...) Or apply for beta member status on ATI's hp...

And Arris, you know I keep a lookout for you ;) :D

Just trying to make sure the next time I go to Scotland, you won't have time to run back to Italy.. ;)

    AMD in new system

Thinking about this chip for a gaming/media server. Are the new 939's due in a couple weeks gonna force the price of this chip down much? If this release is close to the new round of gfix cards, I might as well wait for both, no?

From what the rumours and leaked info suggests, the 939 boards should be out next month sometime...

And to quote a friend from another forum:
  9. xp 64bit ATI driver

What became of the XP 64bit ATI driver?

I just bought a Athlon 3400+ laptop. And have XP 64bit Edition installed.
I downloaded the beta driver from ATI.
But I get an error when trying to install:
    Code:
    Thunk.exe
    INF file missing
    Then open reboot:
    Code:
The ATI Control Panel failed to initalize because no ATI driver is installed, or ATI driver is not working properly. The ATI Control Panel will now exit.
    Any ideas?

    Thanks.
